I have read about this so many times, and I have complaint about this many times too, to their editorial and even to the Home Ministry.
Yet they are still defiant. I may not know whether actions were taken on the complaints that were filed up to the respective parties. But one thing for sure, either they don’t understand our sensitivities on this Palestinian issues or our Malaysian government stand on the matters.
And amongst the so many words, why did the editorial of this English language Sarawak based newspaper “The Borneo Post” prefer the usage of the word WEST BA*K in their reportage on page 12 dated 14.01.2012 @ Saturday.
The paper are referring to a new elite settlement along the mighty Rajang River in Sibu which they always referred to as the WEST BA*K while ignoring the facts the issue had been an ongoing protest by the Malaysian people and the Muslim communities as a whole.
If there are suggestion to protest this paper by a stop buying act, it would sound immature in a state where locally reported news are still scarce in view of the only two English paper available here.
And one thing for sure is, if our Home Ministry could have a word in this matter and I am wondering also if there would be any action be taken when even a statue of the Chinese zodiac calendar are being erected for so many years in the town center of Sibu.
Do you know what it is? It is the statue of animals from monkey, bird and amongst one of it, is a swine (just to be polite to use this word).
Where is our stand of being a Muslim here? Can someone enlighten me on this, please!
